This week, the gang takes on another round of Netflix Originals. First up is High Flying Bird. It's like Moneyball, but with Basketball and not as good. In this episode, Joe, David, and Carlos talk about The Favourite, a new film starring Olivia Colman, Rachel Weiss, and Emma Stone. They talk about the absurd use of fisheye lenses, phenomenal performances, and the chances of receiving Oscar attention. They also talk about the upcoming Oscar predictions (which as of the release of this podcast have become official). We also drink beer from Sierra Nevada and Ingenious Brewing Co. Drink up!

24: CRUSHABLE - Netflix "Oscar Bait" Films / Buster Scruggs / Roma / Bird Box

In this episode, we talk about Netflix's attempt to get a little attention at the Oscar's, specifically their film from the Coen Brothers "The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs". We also get into "Roma", the new (some would say underwhelming" film from Alfonso Cuaron. And to top it all off, we had to discuss Bird Box because, well, the memes.

23: Border - A Swedish Troll Film and More Fantastical Adventures

In this episode we talk about Border, the Swedish Troll film and one thing we DO NOT do is discriminate against Troll sex. But for real, this episode is heavy and deals with some sensitive subjects so it's not for the faint of heart. But if you're into challenging indie cinema, you don't want to miss this episode.

22: The Great Divide - Widows / Steve McQueen

In what is potentially our most contentious episode to date, we discuss Steve McQueen's fourth feature film "Widows" and, in the second half, discussing the film in relation to his first three films.

21: Movies We Missed and Theories On Relativity - Sorry To Bother You / Eighth Grade

Strap in, because this episode is going to take you there and back again. We cover what is arguably the widest range of topics ever covered on this show. This week's themed episode is Movies We Missed In Theaters. We cover Boots Riley's debut Sorry To Bother You and all of its insanity. Then we thought we would tone it down with Eight Grade and turns out that one got us more heated than the former. Ethan and Carlos yell at each other about the difference three years make, David finds the good in everything, and we discuss the reality and absurdity that both films root themselves in respectively. Afterward, they take a look at the production company Bad Robot, founded by JJ Abrams and look at the impact BR has had on cinema and television. Of course, there is beer involved. Dig in. 

19: The Halloween Special w/ Special Guest piinkhat

This week is a special Halloween crossover episode where we kidnapped co-host of World's Great Complainer podcast and forced him to talk to us about Halloween (2018) directed by David Gordon Green. After that, we dive into the original John Carpenter film (1978), the sequels, and Rob Zombie's remakes/reboots. We also drink a few beers along the way.
