In this episode, we talk about the latest film starring Michael B Jordan and Jamie Foxx Just Mercy, a film about a young Harvard lawyer moving to the south to help Death Row inmates who were wrongly convicted. We pair it with Werner Herzog's film Into The Abyss, a documentary about two death row inmates.

74: The Worst Beer You've Ever Smelled - Atlantics / Inside Llewyn Davis

This week, we tackle two winners of the Cannes Grand Prix Prize, 2019's Atlantics and the Coen Brothers' Inside Llewyn Davis. Atlantics is a Senegalese film by first time filmmaker Mati Diop. It is currently available on Netflix and is a mind-bending, genre-melding, breathtaking piece of cinema.

In this episode we talk about Golden Globe winning and Academy Award nominated film "1917" by director Sam Mendes. Made to look as if it was shot in one take, we also talk about a true one take film, 2002's "Russian Ark"
