In this episode, we talk about a short film from David Lynch "What Did Jack Do?", which was recently distributed via Netflix. We use that as a jumping off point to go back in time and take a look at one of Lynch's key works, Blue Velvet.

75: Shawshank Shenanigans - Just Mercy / Into The Abyss

In this episode, we talk about the latest film starring Michael B Jordan and Jamie Foxx Just Mercy, a film about a young Harvard lawyer moving to the south to help Death Row inmates who were wrongly convicted. We pair it with Werner Herzog's film Into The Abyss, a documentary about two death row inmates.

74: The Worst Beer You've Ever Smelled - Atlantics / Inside Llewyn Davis

This week, we tackle two winners of the Cannes Grand Prix Prize, 2019's Atlantics and the Coen Brothers' Inside Llewyn Davis. Atlantics is a Senegalese film by first time filmmaker Mati Diop. It is currently available on Netflix and is a mind-bending, genre-melding, breathtaking piece of cinema.

In this episode we talk about Golden Globe winning and Academy Award nominated film "1917" by director Sam Mendes. Made to look as if it was shot in one take, we also talk about a true one take film, 2002's "Russian Ark"

72: Little Women, BIG Oscar Snub - Little Women / Mistress America

In this episode, we start off at the top with a quick discussion of the Oscar nominations list. Then we talk about National Treasure Greta Gerwig's latest film "Little Women". We also talk about the film she wrote in 2015, "Mistress America", directed by her partner Noah Baumbach.

It's right there in the title folks, we break down everything film related in 2019 with all of our listaging! Our Top 5 films, surprises, disappointments, performances, music; everything but the kitchen sink! We also talk about our favorite beers we had this year and some brewery highlights, all while being joined by a good friend Harold who will have a more prominent guest role in next week's episode!
